Name of era: Middle Ages

Era type: period
The Middle Ages is the period between the Collapse of the Roman Empire and the Renaissance and the Age of Discovery. In other words, it roughly is sandwiched by the fall of the Western Roman Empire (Italy) and the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire (Greece and Constantinople). After the collapse of the Roman Empire, many societies revert back to feudalism state, with peasant-knights-lords. The ancient Greek art and religion in Greece is deeply buried by Byzantine era. The Olympiad games were discontinued. Societies were ruled by religion institutions. Fears of disease constantly disrupt people's lives.
