Based on historical rivalry, the French king does not to be encircled by the Holy Roman Empire and the Habsburg dynasty, which is based in Austria and grow through marriage. The revolt of Netherlands let France breath a sigh of relief, ushering in a rapid rise of Dutch colonial power, and brings about growth of French power in Europe. The Dutch revolt ended with a treaty of Munster. The Dutch republic is followed by a strong Dutch empire.
