Short summary After discovery of nuclear fusion, scientists around the world, including Europe, Germany and United States, raced to build weapons and realize chair reaction. The United States organized a top secret project, lead by Robert Oppenheimer, to build nuclear bombs. Uranium production facility was established in Oak Ridge, TN. German scientists were also trying to build bombs, but their efforts were slowed by accidents.
