A British chemist who discovered chlorine and made other important discoveries in the early era of modern chemistry. Michael Faraday was an assistant of Davy. He was the President of Royal Society, and was knighted (like Newton and Francis Bacon before him). After Volta discovered Voltaic pile, Davy used the new electrolysis process to discover a number of new elements.
